Hi! My name is Justin.

I am a personal trainer and yoga instructor living in Portland,  Oregon.  I specialize in group and personal training, offering a variety of modalities for any fitness level.  I teach classes, work one-on-one with clients and host some really awesome retreats.  

I carry a message of self love and kindness.  No matter who you are or where you are in your fitness journey, I want you to feel strong and be happy.

You're Doing a Great Job! is a mentality.  It's a life of positivity and forgiveness.  It is loving yourself just the way you are while always searching for the best possible you.

Physical fitness has had a bad rap.  It's not about how you look.  It's not about a summer body or getting those gains.  It's not just for jocks or the "naturally beautiful.'  Physical fitness, be it a plain ole gym or group fitness, is there to help us deal with the stress of living.  Everyone is battling something.  Everyone has worry, fear and regret.  Maintaining a healthy and balanced fitness regiment allows you compartmentalize the daily flurry of thoughts and feelings. 

I know if I have a great workout in the morning, I have accomplished something for the day.  I have done something, something for myself and something that inherently makes me a better person.  Feeling accomplished and successful is a basic human need.  And allowing yourself the opportunity to be successful is a RADICAL ACT OF KINDNESS that will only result in your own happiness.  

Get up.  Do something.  And no matter what that is -- a yoga class or a gut-wrenching training session -- remember that you're successful in the act of merely showing up.  You're doing a great job.  At home, at work, in the gym.  

You're doing a great job, because you are doing what you can and THAT is all that anyone can ask of you.
